'What is the impact of how we consume food in Scotland?' 8th ART annual weekend
Ardtornish, Argyllshire, Scotland
The 2014 annual ART weekend focused on the theme of food consumption and its impact in Scotland. The weekend was curated by two ART trustees, Maggie Gill and Sally Thomas.
The weekend meeting, held 13-15 June 2014 at Ardtornish Estate in Morvern, Argyllshire, Scotland, brought together a rich mixture of people, who variously had scientific, environmental, economic, artistic and social interests in matters of food, its consumption and its production, rooted in Scotland and situated in the global environment.
In previous years the Andrew Raven Trust has commissioned a report from different writers. In 2014 we felt that we needed to consider our experience beyond words. The independent film maker Matt Hulse was commissioned to produce a film reflecting the themes of the weekend.
